For more than three decades, he led the house of J. Mendel as Creative Director and CEO, earning international acclaim for garments celebrated for their elegance, movement, and artistry. His work has been recognized by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), honored with the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award, and presented as part of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.

At House of Gilles, Mendel returns to couture in its most personal expression — an atelier devoted to craftsmanship, individuality, and the intimate dialogue between designer and client.

Co-founder of House of Gilles, Chloé Mendel Corgan represents the next generation of the Mendel couture lineage, working alongside Gilles Mendel to shape the creative vision of the house.

Recognized globally, including as one of Positive Luxury's Women to Watch, Chloé brings a contemporary perspective to couture while guiding the personal journey of each client. Her approach blends creativity, emotion, and collaboration, ensuring every gown reflects both artistry and individuality.
